A Very Gradual Month for Changes

I have changed so gradually this month, that Mommy has been forgetting to post my progress. I am growing very fast, but my new abilities have been more like works in progress rather than just something Mommy suddenly realizes I can do. Some of the things that I've started to be able to do this month have been:
  1. Clapping my hands.
  2. Waving goodbye.
  3. Walking while holding onto things.
  4. Crawling very fast.
  5. Passing toys from one hand to the other.
  6. Standing momentarily without support.
  7. Saying "da-da" more clearly.

I also have gotten to where I think that every wire I see is a wonderful play toy. Daddy is going to have to do something with the speaker wires. They are just too tempting for me.

The dog has become more amusing as well. Last night, I just thought it was absolutely hilarious when he was playing tug-of-war with Mommy. I just laughed and laughed. I can play tag with him a little better, too, because I can move faster and can chase him easier. He still doesn't like for me to get too close, though. The only way I am able to get close enough to get hold of his hair is when Mommy is playing with him. Last night, they were playing and I was able to try to get on his back. I also think it's funny when I get a good handful of hair and he moves, dropping me to the ground. :)

My hair is getting really long. It's so long that it's in my eyes. Mommy thought it would be funny if my hair was in a ponytail on top of my head. When she put it up, I looked like either Pebbles from the Flintstones or Cindy-Lou Who. The other kids at daycare thought my hair was awesome, too. They kept trying to get their hands on it.

I'm doing pretty well as far as eating goes. I am completely on formula now, and now that I've been on it a while, I'm stomaching it better than I was. I'm doing pretty well with eating food, but I only like vegetables, peaches and prunes. I don't like cereal and I don't like any other fruit beseides peaches and prunes. Everyone thinks it is so odd that I won't eat fruit. Mommy tried giving me Cheerios the other day. I didn't like them at all. I let the dog have them.

The lady at the nursery at church said that I will probably have to be moved up to the next class by Christmas. I'm just so much farther advanced than the other kids my age.

Other than that, I think that's all the news for now. I will be 7 months old on Friday! I can't wait. I'll probably be walking by Christmas! Maybe Mommy will keep everyone posted a little better.
