Growing Fast

I am really growing very fast now. Over the past couple weeks, I've mastered the art of standing from a seated posistion. (I don't have to have something to pull up on anymore.) I've also started to eat less baby food and more table food. I really like corn, peas and pasta. If Mommy & Daddy are eating it, I'll usually eat it too.

My Grandma, Poppy and uncle Brian came and visited me this past weekend. We had fun, too. I showed them how big a girl I am with my eating, walking and jabbering. I also really liked it when they would push me around in my stoller or ride-on toy.

I am starting to say more as time goes on too. I'm trying my hardest to say "Allex". It comes out "Aaek" or "Aaep" or "Aaex" usually. I'm getting the hang of the word "duck", too. But, I'm not sure if "duck" means the little plastic toy in my tub or the tub itself.

I love to go outside. I can't wait until the weather gets better and I can go outside and play in the yard! I love to be strolled up and down the sidewalk. It's very relaxing and often puts me to sleep.

Speaking of sleep, I don't sleep in my crib anymore. It was just to cramped. Instead, I sleep in my big girl bed! Mommy has the mattress pushed up against the wall and the crib pushed up against the other side of the bed. That keeps me in the bed. Then the sides of the crib are lined with pillows to keep me from knocking my head. The wall should probably be lined as well becasue I've hit my head on the wall a couple times, but Mommy ran out of pillows.

My first birthday is coming VERY soon! I hope I'm not sick. Mommy is going to make me a pretty cake and we're going to have a party in Abingdon. It'll be fun!

Well, I can't think of anything else to tell...

Visited Nana and Grandfather This Weekend

Mommy & Daddy took me to Ohio this weekend to visit Grandfather and Nana. I had a really good time. I talked and talked, and walked everywhere, and played with some new toys, and swang in a really fun swing. Nana got me to say "na-na" and Grandfather tried to get me to say "Allex". I amused them by showing them how to talk on the phone. I can hold the phone up to my ear and say "hi". Well, it doesn't have to be a phone. It can be my stopwatch, my hair brush or even nothing at all.

Here are some pictures of me from this weekend. Be warned, though, Mommy didn't resize them before she loaded them to the internet, so they're huge.
