My first Christmas

For my first Christmas, Nana and Grandfather took Kiera and I to see Nana Jane and Papaw John on Saturday. Then Mommy and Daddy met us at Nannie's house on Sunday Morning. Right after church, we went to Granny and Poppy's house. We opened presents there and then went to see Daddy's aunts, uncles and cousins - where we opened more presents. I got so much stuff that Mommy isn't sure who gave me what.

We spent the night with Granny and Poppy, then we got up and went back to Nannie's. When we got there, we opened even more presents. Then we left around 2:00, so we could come home to Nana and Grandfather's house to see what Santa left us.

I got lots of toys, clothes and money, and I had a good first Christmas.

6 months old

It's hard to believe, but I'm 6 months old now! I went to the doctor yesterday, and I weigh 19 pounds and I'm 28 1/2 inches long. I'm growing like a weed. I've almost grown out of my 6-9 month clothes, too. So, I guess Mommy will have to go and get me some more clothes if I don't get any for Christmas. All of my 12 month clothes are short sleeve.

I'm growing in other ways, too. I'm sitting up very well now. I also am reaching for people when I want them to pick me up. I don't like to be left alone for any period of time, though. And if my mommy is in the room, she is the person I want the most.

I love to play "Shoe a little horsey", and I love to mimic facial expressions. I also like to jabber.

I've been eating baby food now for a couple months. I'm not a very picky eater, but I don't care much for green beans or bananas. Mommy has even started giving me a few Cheerios now and then. I play with them more than I actually eat them, though. I still lack the hand-eye coordination to pick them up between my fingers and get them to my mouth.

I love my puppy and aunt Ann's puppy (though he knocks me down). I love for Allex to sit down next to me and let me play with his fur. He's really furry right now, too, so he's got a lot to play with.

My first Christmas is coming up soon, but Mommy says it's going to be really hectic. We only have a day and a half to get all of our visiting in. That stinks - about as much as my diapers! :)
