Aljan was made from one of my sacred but manky Sunbeams. I think if I use a sunbeam for a custom, it should be a very special one. Well, this one is very special. The first Firebringer book (by Merideth Ann Pierce) was my absolute favorite in middle/high school. I never knew that there were two more books in the trilogy until a few years ago, however. And come to find out, those two books are INCREDILBY expensive. So, I gave up hope on ever getting the opportunity to read them. Well, they have just recently been published in trade paperback, so I finally got to read the second two books! In commemoration, I created this custom. His name is Aljan and he is the main character in the series. This custom is painted black with a slight sheen. He has black hair, a black tassled tail, a black beard on his chin and black tassels on his heels. His brow is marked with a white crescent moon and his rear left heel is marked with a white star. (You have to read the book to find out their significance.) His hair is not extremely silky.
